The Whelen Vortex is a very similar model to the 4004s. It is also controlled by a UV controller and also a Whelen controller (original controller). Vortex is available in 4 variants. Formerly 5, including the discontinued Finback. The variants are R1, R2, R3, R4. Each of these represents amount of speaker drivers in the siren. Decibel rating depends on how many drivers. The R4 is something around 129 Db at 100ft.

The signals of the siren is:
WHELEN CONTROLLER
Alert, Attack/Wail, Hi-Lo, Whoop or some tones from the Whelen vehicle-mounted siren.
UV CONTROLLER
All signals same as the Federal Modulators.
